A clean, refreshing and tasty dessert on a hot day. It can also be used as a palate cleanser before a meal because it is clean flavors, not sweet and cold. Every time I make this recipe I add more ginger. I love the taste of fresh ginger so feel free to adjust to your preference.
Ingredients
- 1/4-1/2 cup pure maple syrup
- 1 tsp freshly grated ginger
- 2 cups plain yogurt I prefer Siggis
- 1.5 cups buttermilk great if you can get from a local farmer
- 1/2 cup lemon juice freshly squeezed
- 1 tsp lemon zest

Instructions
- Throughly combine all ingredients in a bowl.
- Place in refrigerator to chill.
- Pour into ice cream machine. Follow your ice cream machine instructions. It basically turns until it reaches your desired consistency. It should be on softer side but can still hold a shape.
